The Dubai Fountain

The Dubai fountain is the world’s largest and one of the world’s tallest fountains, surpassing the Fountains of Bellagio at Las Vegas by a 25%. The Dubai fountains is 275 m (902.2 ft), which is more than the length of two football fields, and has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs.

The Dubai Fountains can be seen from over 32.2 km (20.0 mi) away up or horizontally if you have a clear line of sight. The fountains can shoot to the maximum height of 150 m (492.1 ft), which is equivalent to a 40-storey building or high enough to wash the windows a fifth of the way up the Burj Khalifa.

The fountain was designed by WET Design, the California-based company responsible for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas. IIt was built at a cost of $218 million USD  which is the total cost of the Fountain’s lake, the fountain, and its filtration system

A true wonder of modern technology it dances well over 6,600 lights of the modern incandescent lighting for fountains and 25 color projectors create a light show unseen. Light rays directed toward the sky can be seen from 30 miles away and is said can be seen from space, making Dubai Fountain the brightest place in the Middle East and possibly around the world.
